KUCHING: The chorus demanding Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin to apologise for his uncalled for remarks on the results of the state election from the PBB Youth wing is getting louder.
The Youth wing branches from Ngemah and Machan are the latest to make the call after the Ba Kelalan Youth wing last Monday.
“We, the Ngemah and Machan PBB Youth, support the statement made by Richard Silo, who is from the Ba Kelalan Youth wing.
“We also want Khairy Jamaludin to apologise for saying the last state election result is the worst in the history of Sarawak. Please do not scoff our efforts and sacrifices in the last election,” said Ngemah Youth chief Tuai Rumah Juin Adan and Machan Youth chiefHassan Tahir in their texts sent via SMS to The Borneo Post yesterday.
They also urged Movement of Change, Sarawak (MoCS) to cancel its plan to stage a demonstration because
the majority of the rakyat had ‘demonstrated’ at the polling stations during the last election that they wanted Taib to be the Chief Minister.
Last Monday, Richard called on MoCS leaders Francis Siah and Abdillah Nassar to retract their plan to organise a demonstration if Chief Minister Pehin Sri
Abdul Taib Mahmud did not step down by Aug 13 because it would disturb public peace.
